But the fact of the matter is, beauty starts from the inside. A healthy diet with lots of yummy nutrients will both aid in good health and breathtaking beauty. I have had the long habit of having a smoothie for breakfast.

I have a lot of faith that my morning smoothies have helped maintain my complexion and shiny hair. It’s so easy to make too! Trust me, I’m not even a morning person and I manage to make this recipe all the time. I’m excited to share this with you: how to make it, and why it has amazing beauty benefits.

Alrighty so the recipe really is simple all you need is:

  • Soy Milk (plain or vanilla)
  • Raspberries
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • One large Banana
  • Plain Vanilla Yogurt

So how will this smoothing keep you beautiful from the inside? First off, soy milk is rich and protein! And the more protein in your diet, the healthier your hair will be. After all, protein is one of the building blocks of hair.

Additionally, berries AND bananas are chock full of antioxidants! Antioxidants are in so many expensive skin moisturizers. If you apply it to your face, why not ingest it as well? Plus, the berries I mentioned are so easy to wash and just throw in the blender or magic bullet. You can practically make this with your eyes closed.

Finally, yogurt contains lactic acid. Lactic acid is so great when applied to the skin topically. It’s a natural skin brightener and exfoliant. Now imagine the benefits of ingesting it. You’re literally feeding these nutrients to the cells.

I have a smoothie like this for breakfast every morning. My skin is always clear and never gives me problems. Plus, a fruity smoothie full of calcium and protein is a great healthy way to kick start your day.
