EYE MAKEUP TIPS

Get ready for east eye makeup tips! I don’t know about you, but whenever I wear eye makeup, I feel more confident. Unfortunately, I don’t always have time to apply eye makeup on particularly hectic mornings. After making a real effort to never leave the casa without makeup, I ironed out the tweaks, and am ready to share 5 simple eye makeup tips with you today…

Eye Makeup Tips

1. Unless you’re wearing a smokey eye, or going for a rocker look, don’t wear liner on the bottom lash line. This actually makes your eyes look SMALLER! And can give you the illusion of under eye bags.
2.Unless you’re going for a cut crease look, always blend eyeshadow so it naturally fades into your skin tone, or a shade or two lighter than your skin tone. Blending only takes a few seconds and makes all the difference in the world!

3.This is one of the best eye makeup tips I can give you: Try wearing an eyeliner (on the top lash line) in a color besides black or brown. This will make your eyes “pop,” and looks great for spring/summer. A bright liner, like the uni-liners from Lime Crime Makeup, is all the eyes need!

  • Blue eyes, dare to try orange
  • Green eyes, dare to wear purple
  • Brown eyes can wear any color (since brown is neutral), but deep blue looks especially flattering

4.When wearing dark eyeshadow colors, wear a yellow based concealer under your eyes to neutralize any purple-colored bags under your eyes. After playing with two Tester Kits I received at a free April Love Makeup Academy Continuing Education Product Class, I’ve fallen in love with Sacha Cosmetics products! It has just enough yellow undertones to work as a color corrector. The yellow undertones are still golden enough that they’re especially flattering on African-American skin tones, Asian skin tones, and on my fellow Latinas!

5.Try investing in an eyelash perm. Reasonably priced at Her Eyes, this will permanently (up to a month) curl your eyelashes. This will save you SO much time curling your eyelashes in the morning! Just a little bit of mascara, and bam! Natural beauty. A curl will also make your eyes look brighter and more open.
