Get Radiant Skin by using this Scrub made of Oatmeal and Calendula flowers

For having supple, young skin, it is necessary to exfoliate it. Exfoliation helps in removing the dead cells out of your skin. It is daily exposed to various environmental (rain, sun, pollution etc.) and not only (make-up) factors that make our skin dirty and oily. Exfoliation comes to clean our skin, making it more susceptible to blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. Scrubs are a great method of exfoliation. But, you have to keep in mind that the best scrubs are prepared at home, from natural ingredients.

I present you a gentle scrub, especially suitable for face skin. It is easy to do and consists just of three ingredients:

  • oatmeal
  • calendula flowers
  • olive oil

The ground oatmeal is slightly abrasive, thus our scrub is not too harsh for face skin. I have not used certain quantities, putting everything approximately. I ground about 3 spoons of oats, together with several dried calendula flowers. After being sufficiently ground, having the aspect of fine sand, I added one teaspoon of olive oil and mixed everything well. With other occasion, I used for this recipe the flowers which remained from the calendula oil prepared at home.

The scrub is applied in small quantity, about one teaspoon, on wet face skin. Massage it slowly. Leave it for several minutes. Then rinse off with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel. You will immediately observe the wonderful effect, the scrub offering a bright and soft complexion.

I would recommend to you this scrub if you have skin disorders. For example, if you are a teenager dealing with acne. As well, it is effective in many other general skin problems, because it helps to calm the skin. Another advantage of the scrub is that it is suitable for any skin type.

Oatmeal absorbs and removes oil and bacteria and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Calendula is applied to skin to decrease pain and inflammation, so it is also helpful when you have acne, eczema, rushes, wounds, etc. Be sure not to confuse the calendula that you need for the scrub with ornamental marigolds. As well, this plant has strong anti-aging effect, containing a high level of flavonoids, which act as anti-oxidants for skin and in general for the whole body.

I think that everybody knows the endless benefits of olive oil on skin. However, namely in this recipe we can highlight that it prevents and diminishes wrinkles. Tastes differ. Some people tell that olive oil can influence negatively on acne, that is why it is better to try the scrub on a small part of face to see the effect on your skin first, or just replace it with any other ingredient which fits the necessities of your type of skin and, at the same time, works as a connector the oats and calendula flowers.
