Gym Bag Essentials for Women
Hello beauties! Today’s blog is all about gym bag essentials. Fitness is an important part of inner and outer beauty. So here’s what I, as an esthetician and makeup artist, keep in my gym bag. Hope you all enjoy these gym bag essentials tips!
Here are my personal gym bag essentials:
The obvious gym bag essentials are:
- Towel for sweat
- Ear-buds for music
But here are my above and beyond gym bag essentials 😉
Work Out Gloves:
To prevent calluses caused by weight lifting! I bought mine at Sears for $9. You can find them at Sports Authority, etc.
Cleanser and Face Wipes:
Sweat can clog our pores and lead to breakouts! Therefore, I use a Cetaphil wipe to really deep clean my pores of sweat. Its better to wash your face at the gym, but this is a nice alternative. If you want to try a cleanser, try Dermalogica’s Ultra Calming Cleanser. You can tissue it off without water. It’s a nice way to clean your face after a workout, without over washing (and therefore stripping) your skin.
Personally, I hate washing my hair at the gym. I shed a lot. Plus, I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week. However, after a workout, my hair needs to be refreshed. That’s why I used Joico Dry Shampoo to clean my roots and also have my hair smell good. I love this dry shampoo. There’s no white residue and the smell is fresh, but not overpowering.
I started packing these essentials for a number of reasons. Working out is great to be healthy and feel wonderful. However, I noticed my beauty routine was put on the back burner. By devoting more time to working out, I started devoting less time to dolling myself up. It’s all about balance right? Over time, I noticed that these simple items made a big difference to staying fit and feeling beautiful at the same time.
