Homemade makeup wipes

If there is anything I spend too much money on its make-up wipes. Its $5 just to toss these little wipes away after one use and they usually only last two weeks – if you’re lucky!

Well I decided to stop wasting all the money and make my own homemade makeup remover wipes! They are SUPER easy to make and only take FOUR ingredients! I tried them out and they work just as well, if not better than the expensive wipes I use. Plus I like that since these are so cheap, I can use them more frequently, which anyone with a baby KNOWS how junk can get on your face. Another super plus about these wipes, they are safe to use on my baby’s face!

Step 1: Take a small pot and boil some water (enough to fill 1/2 of your small jar). Pour the hot water into the jar filling it slightly over 1/2 way.

Step 2: Take 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil and put it in the water. Let it melt.

Step 3: Stir in 3/4 of a Tablespoon of baby shampoo. Mix well.

Step 4: In small increments place the cotton rounds in the jar. The mixture will absorb into the cotton rounds. You may need to press down on the cotton rounds for them to fully absorb the liquid.

Voila–you’re done! You can choose to drain any extra liquid or keep it in the jar.

Total this project will cost you a little up front (Coconut Oil is $6 – $10 most places and $2 for baby shampoo) but you can get MANY uses out of the ingredients! I already had all of the ingredients in my house except for the jar which I found for $3 in the canning department at my local superstore. If you wear a lot of make-up you can also make larger wipes with paper towels cut in half!
