How to Get Rid of Bloating

A few months ago, I made a drink to increase my metabolism. However, I noticed that the drink totally got rid of my bloating! My tummy felt flat, like I was 18 years old again. This drink also kept me hydrated and full, and kept me from over indulging on food.


  • About 1 liter of water in a container you can carry with you all day
  • 1-2 whole lemon(s)
  • I TBPS of Chia Seeds

How does it work?

Nutritionists say that lemon water helps speed up your metabolism. Additionally, staying hydrated has a number of benefits: smoother skin, more energy, lubricated internal organs. Sometimes, our body mistakes thirst for hunger. Therefore, if we are hydrated we are less likely to snack.
Chia seeds also help to keep us full because they are chock full of protein. They also have fiber which helps us expel more regularly, which prevents bloat. The acids in the lemon also help speed up digestion.

This drink is so easy to make! I usually make it the night before, and keep it at my work desk so I’m sure to drink it throughout the day. Making it the night before ensures that the Chia Seeds have a chance to swell up, or “activate” so they work to their full potential. I hope you all like this tip on how to get rid of bloating!
