How to keep natural nails looking their best

Today’s blog post is all about natural nails. In my opinion, there’s nothing more classic or classy than long natural nails on a woman. I’m talking neatly groomed, strong, filed and buffed to a shine. No polish. As a woman who works with and constantly washes her hands at work, my manicures never last. Additionally, household cleaning products eat away at even gel nails and acrylic nails.

As such, I prefer to keep them natural, but still long and pointed to look feminine. However, I find that when I grow my nails long, even if I buff them, they still turn dull and yellow. That all changed this week though. I’m going to share a new beauty tip I discovered to make my nails white, bright, shiny, and most importantly CLEAN! I’ll also share how to keep them strong and neat.

If you’ve seen my Youtube video you’ll notice that my daily biotin supplement has kept my nails thick and strong. It also helps them grow very quickly. I file them every other day to keep them neat. I also constantly clean my free edge to keep them looking their best.

Did you know that most of the bacteria found in our hands can be found under our nails? Generally, to keep them clean, I keep a manicure brush by my sink and scrub under my nails with warm water and soap before bed. However, even if I scrub my nails to remover dirt underneath my free edge, I find that they still look yellow.

My manicurist friend, Hiral, suggested I soak my nails in lemon juice. So last night, after cleaning them as usual, I soaked them in warm water and lemon juice, after rubbing coconut oil on my cuticles. And oh my goodness! I can’t get over how white and clean they look. They even look extra shiny! I like seriously cannot stop admiring my nails!

This new tip worked so well I just had to share it with you all today. Do you all know easy tips on how to keep your natural nails looking their best? I’d love to read all about it in the comments! As always, thanks for reading. Until next time!
