Hello beauties! Today’s blog is all about my Long Healthy Hair Rosemary Rinse! As you all know, I’ve been growing out my hair from a pixie cut for two years now. Through lots of trial and error, I’ve discovered the best at-home treatments. The Rosemary Water Rinse is my favorite. It’s not messy, like an egg yolk or banana mask. It smells great, unlike apple cider vinegar…yuck! It’s also super easy to do at home. After all, a lot of us have rosemary growing in our own yards! So get ready for my pro beauty tip on how to get Long Healthy Hair with a Rosemary Rinse.
Long Healthy Hair Rosemary Rinse
Using Rosemary on your hair is actually an old trick for long beautiful hair in my family. My older family members recommend me to seep rosemary in hot water, like a tea. After, you’re supposed to let it cool down. Finally, they suggest to put it in a spray bottle and spray your hair with it after every wash for best results.
After washing my hair though, I prefer to spray in a leave-in conditioner, or heat protectant. The way I tweaked it is like this: I prepare the rosemary water, like a tea. I let it cool down and then dilute it with a little bit of warm water. At the end of my shower, after washing and conditioning, I rinse my hair with the rosemary water.
I love finishing my hair washing in this fashion. After all, I usually take very hot showers. I just can’t handle the cold! And hot water is absolutely terrible for your hair. Experts agree, it’s best to end your shower with cold water to close the cuticle on the hair shaft. This will help prevent frizz short term, and split ends long term.
There are a lot more benefits to a rosemary rinse than the temperature, though. For example, rosemary is invigorating, and will help stimulate blood circulation in the scalp. This is what actually helps your hair grow. When your blood circulates on your scalp, then your scalp is healthier. A healthier scalp helps for healthier hair. And healthy hair, grows more quickly.
