Hello beauties! Today’s post is all about Makeup Bag Essentials. As a professional makeup artist and a woman on the go, I’m so excited to share Makeup Bag Essentials. Let’s be real. If you truly are a woman on the go, then chances are, you put your makeup on the go. How can you apply just enough makeup to look done up, while still keeping it simple? After all, we cannot take our whole beauty armoire on the road with us. So here are some items to keep in your makeup bag to help you always be made up, even if its in a pinch.
Makeup Bag Essentials
Base: I’m assuming the woman on the go still has time to moisturize and apply SPF before anything else. Tinted Moisturizer is a great way to have moisture, SPF, and base all in one. This will save you so much time!! Added makeup artist bonus tip: Mix it with your favorite primer for a better texture and more coverage. Stila makes my favorite tinted moisturizer. I usually mix it with Cover FX Primer.
Cheeks: One cannot simply apply base without adding some color to the cheeks! Benefit Cosmetics makes great blushes that come with a brush and mirror. They are so compact you can easily fit it in your makeup bag!
Brows: Your best bet for fast, flawless brows is a pencil. The ideal pencil will have a brow brush on the other end of it. Brows can make or break the face. I highly recommend investing in an Anastasia Pencil for the best brows.
Eyes: For the eyes, three things are important. Eyeshadow, Eyeliner and Mascara.
For eyeshadow, save yourself the mess of powders, and go with a cream shadow.
For eyeliner, smudge a little eyeliner on the lash line.
Finally, coat your lashes with mascara. I recommend Maybelline’s Define a Lash Mascasa. It’s a great Dupe for Benefit’s They’re Real mascara.
Lip Gloss: Lips are the first makeup of the face to fade. Use a highly pigmented lipgloss to add full color to your lips in one easy step. I love Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipgloss.
Blotting Papers:These will absorb oil and shine. It’s a great way to mattify your face without caking on more powder. NYX makes great blotting papers.
