Natural Remedies for Cracked Heels

Usually winter meets women with an unpleasant surprise – cracked heels. This condition can be quite hurtful and it definitely does not attract the eye. We are used to take care of different parts of body which are most of the time uncovered like face, hands, but we forget about our heels, which actually need much attention. To help get rid of cracked heels come some natural remedies.

Olive oil and sesame oil are rich in vitamin E. They moisturize the skin on heels. For this, you need to massage a good amount of olive oil or sesame oil on your heels every evening, before going to bed. After this put on a pair of socks and leave the oil to stay overnight. In the morning, your heels will be soft. Take a brush and rub them. As an alternative for olive oil or sesame oil, you can use also coconut oil.

A special remedy to cure cracked heels is over ripe banana. You can buy such kind of bananas from market, or simply leave the yellow, fresh bananas to over ripe at home. When they become squishy, peel them and bring to the condition of puree. Then, apply on your heels and leave to act for 15-20 minutes. After this, rinse off with warm water. However, if your problem of cracked heels is more serious, then you can use an avocado together with the banana. Avocado is beneficial in this case because it contains essential oils.

In case you tried several homemade remedies for cracked heels and they have not made their expected effect, then this one will help you heal them for sure. Take some paraffin wax and put it in a pot. If you do not know from where to get paraffin wax, then just break a candle into pieces. Add mustard oil to the wax and heat the whole composition. Before applying it on heels soak your feet in lukewarm water and rub the heels delicately. After this, you can apply the blend on cracked heels. Put on some socks and go to sleep. It is better to leave it to act overnight. If you will do this procedure every day, during two weeks you will get amazed by your beautiful legs!

Glycerin is a great ingredient to get rid of cracked heels. It soothes the skin and helps the cracks to cure quicker. For a better result, glycerin must be mixed with an equal quantity of rosewater.

A combination of Vaseline and lemon juice proved their efficiency as well. Again, before its application soak in tepid water your feet, leave them to soften and scrub the heels. After this, dry your feet and apply the mixture of lemon juice and Vaseline. Let the skin to absorb the whole paste.

Aloe vera is a very famous compound in healing different kinds of wounds, scars, cracks and so on. In this way, take some fresh aloe vera gel and rub with it the heels. You can also add to aloe vera 1 teaspoon of basil paste, 1 teaspoon of turmeric paste and 1 pinch of camphor. The obtained blend will make your heels look smooth.
