Hello beauties! Today’s post is all about Why the Right Bra Size is So Important. As most of you know, I have been on a fitness journey for almost 2 years. My body has changed. I started at at 108 pounds with 32% body fat, and now I am at at 120 pounds with 27% body fat. I have more muscle and less fat. Therefore, my bust has changed. There’s muscle in my chest and back. Let’s be honest, women’s breasts are basically made of fat.
I feel like changes in bra size has everything to do with fitness and beauty. It is hard to feel confident if you are not comfortable. As as our body evolves, we have to update our bras to feel comfortable. I used to wear a 34 C and started wearing a 36 B. I made this change because my back felt broader and my bust felt smaller. However, neither the 34 C nor the 36 B felt comfortable or gave me the support I need. Due to the lack of support, my bust felt less perky and I was disappointed. I was beginning to feel a little like this…
Why the Right Bra Size is So Important
Frustrated, I went to a Victoria’s Secret near me to get my bra size properly measured. I figured I should stop the guessing game and get my right size in order to have the support I need. I was even thinking of getting a pushup bra to feel like my old self. Let me tell you, getting measured at Victoria’s Secret was absolutely LIFE CHANGING. The attendant was like a boob fairy and told me I have probably been wearing the wrong size my whole life. She measured me at a 32 DD. Can you believe it? I was wearing the wrong band size AND the wrong cup size this whole time!
Once I tried on the correct size I felt taller. I stood up straighter. My posture was like never before. I no longer felt like I needed any type of push up bra. The best part is, after wearing the correct size for about 2 weeks now, I’ve noticed my back doesn’t hurt like it used to! That is why the right bra size is so important. I can’t believe I have gone so long in life with the wrong size. When I shared the news with my man, he said he had had actually read an article stating that almost 80% of women wear the wrong bra size. If you have recently lost or gained weight–maybe had a baby, maybe built muscle, etc– I encourage you to get sized. The right bra size changed my life. I honestly feel like I’ve had a free breast lift simply by wearing the correct size.
That is why I felt so compelled to share a blog about my experience with why the right bra size is so important. If you’d like to get sized, you can find a Victoria’s Secret near you here. Have you ever wore the wrong bra size? How did you feel once you wore the correct size? I’d love to read in the comments below! Until next time… be beautiful!
